Crawford Premium Cordura Plus® Zipper Cases
Our fine crafted zipper style tool cases are made of the highest quality materials available.
Materials
Outside are high quality materials like DuPont's Cordura Plus® 1000 Denier material, providing water, stain and wear resistance to hold up under the harshest environments. Inside stiffeners such as foam and Bontex® are used which have more nylon fibers giving greater strength than cardboard and allows more stitches of nylon thread per inch. Top quality, self-mending YKK zippers are used. Metal D-rings are welded closed to prevent separation.

Sewing
We sew our products using different sizes (46, 69, 92) of color coordinated nylon thread. As outlined below, we employ the most effective techniques and use more stitches per inch and appropriate margin tolerance than most to achieve the maximum strength and greatest tear resistance. Fabric Margin is 3/16" with 7-8 stitches/inch Heavy Leather Margin is 3/16" with 6-8 stitches/inch Medium Leather Margin is 1/8" with 8-10 stitches/inch Thin Leather Margin is 1/8" with 10-12 stitches/inch Zippers are double-stitched with lock-stitch pattern to prevent unraveling Termination points have 4 backstitches and Overlap points have 6-8 stitches to prevent unraveling.

Bonding & Riveting
In addition to the sewn process, all case body components are held in place by a high-strength permanent adhesive. This procedure helps retain shape and extended usage over longer periods of time. Where applicable, rivets are used for reinforcement and permanency.
